Biography:

Dr. Tatyana Itova is a distinguished pediatrician and neonatologist with recognized specialties in pediatrics and neonatology, obtained from the Medical University of Varna, Bulgaria. She holds a Ph.D. in Medicine in the field of pediatrics from the Medical University of Pleven, Bulgaria, and currently serves as Head of the Department of Neonatology at Medica Ruse University Hospital.

Dr. Itova’s scientific and clinical expertise is centered on the monitoring of high-risk newborns, neurodevelopment, neuromonitoring, and ultrasound examination of the central nervous system. She is dedicated to advancing neonatal care through both clinical excellence and research innovation, ensuring improved health outcomes for the most vulnerable patients in their earliest stages of life.

Dr. Tatyana Itova’s research interests focus on neonatal neurology and neurodevelopment, with particular expertise in the monitoring and management of high-risk newborns. She is deeply engaged in advancing neuromonitoring techniques and refining ultrasound imaging of the central nervous system to enable early detection and intervention for neurological disorders in neonates. Her work also explores the relationship between early-life medical interventions and long-term developmental outcomes, aiming to establish evidence-based protocols that improve the quality of life for vulnerable newborn populations.
