Biography:
Kiran Kumari is a Nursing Officer with over 10 years of experience in pediatric cardiac surgery and critical care nursing at All India Institute of Medical Sciences,New Delhi one of India’s premier healthcare and research institutes. She completed her B.Sc. Nursing from PGIMS Rohtak,Haryana (India) and her Master’s in Child Health Nursing from the prestigious Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, the first college in India to start M.Sc. Nursing. She has received awards for oral and poster paper presentations at national platforms and was granted support by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) for international paper presentation. She is also an active member of National Neonatology Forum(NNF) and Indian Association of Neonatal Nurses (IANN) with achievements in neonatology and cardiology quizzes.
Research Interest:
Kiran Kumari’s research interests lie in the fields of pediatric cardiac surgery nursing, critical care nursing, neonatal and child health nursing, with a special focus on improving clinical outcomes among critically ill neonates and children with congenital and acquired cardiac conditions. Drawing from more than a decade of clinical experience at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, her interests include advanced pediatric and neonatal intensive care practices, perioperative nursing management in pediatric cardiac surgery, infection prevention, patient safety, family-centered care and evidence-based nursing interventions in critical care settings. She is also deeply interested in neonatal resuscitation, developmental care, nursing education, and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing healthcare delivery for vulnerable pediatric populations. Her active involvement with National Neonatology Forum and Indian Association of Neonatal Nurses further reflects her commitment to neonatal and pediatric nursing research, professional development, and the advancement of specialized nursing practices through academic scholarship and interdisciplinary collaboration.
