Biography:

Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra is an Independent Researcher (Scholar), having retired from the Population Education Resource Centre, Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension, S.N.D.T. Women's University, Mumbai, India. Trained in demography and holding a Ph.D., Dr. Mishra has made prolific academic contributions, authoring 6 booklets, 4 books, 31 book chapters, 109 journal articles, 2 monographs, 7 research studies, and 119 papers presented at national and international conferences, several supported by bursaries. His scholarly excellence has been recognized through multiple Certificate of Excellence in Reviewing Awards in 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, and 2024, as well as the Excellence of Research Award in 2021 for outstanding contributions to the field of agriculture. Dr. Mishra continues to engage actively in research, mentoring, and knowledge dissemination at the global level.

Dr. Santosh Kumar Mishra’s research interests span demography, population education, and lifelong learning, with a strong focus on addressing socio-economic and developmental challenges. His work explores agricultural development, population dynamics, sustainable livelihoods, and educational outreach, aiming to bridge the gap between research and community impact. He is particularly interested in interdisciplinary approaches that integrate demographic analysis with public policy, environmental sustainability, and rural development strategies. Through his extensive scholarly contributions, Dr. Mishra seeks to generate actionable insights that inform evidence-based decision-making and foster long-term societal progress.
